Most of these impacts are reversed or chopped sounds ranging from percussion hits to super short vocal bits which are almost not recognizable as human voice, synths, and other material I found on my Octatrack. For a washed-out effect, nothing works better than a healthy portion of good old reverb. I've used the Ventris Dual Reverb by Source Audio which sounds super lush, dense, and silky.

Reverse those impacts to turn them into risers!

Take those beautiful reverb tails and turn them into textures:

cut out a 2-4 bar section -> copy this section -> reverse it -> smooth out clicks with super short fades

Now you have a forever-looping fx-texture-thing. Add reverb and delay to taste 😎
